Alinia

Alinia is an ant parasitic agent which is used for treating certain parasites that cause infections of the intestine. It works by interfering with the production of certain substances that are needed by the parasite to live and grow. Alinia is used to treat diarrhea caused by the parasites Cryptosporidum parvum and giardia lambia in children ages 1 – 11 years. Symptoms of an infectious diarrhea include abnormal bowel habits and watery and increased frequency of stools. The organisms cause infection usually through contaminated water or food.  Available with most Canadian pharmacy the use of Alinia should be taken as directed by the doctor. The dosage is taken by mouth with food and is suitable for anyone over the age of 1 year.

For children below the age of 11 years it should be made certain that only oral suspension is given and when doing so it is advised to shake it well before each dosage. Some of the most common effects one can expect with consumption of Alinia are bdominal pain, nausea, headache and stomach aches. In case of adults, alinia should not be used by people who suffer from liver or kidney problems, who have weak immune system and people who suffer from aids. Also as this drug contains one teaspoon of sugar per dose, people suffering from diabetes should make certain with their doctors that it will not have an adverse effect. Always remember that any medicine, especially an antibiotic, must be taken till the prescription amount is finished. The symptoms might disappear within the first few doses but that does not mean that the parasite infection has been completely cured. If the patient discontinues before completing the course of medicine, they face the risk of a relapse of the infection.

Alinia is available through pharmacies and is also available to purchase online through various Canadian pharmacy. With Alinia available in different dosages it is easier to consume without causing too much of side effects. However, if overdose is caused it is advised to consult the doctor immediately and on the other hand if one misses their dosage it is advised that they skip that dosage and continue with the normal prescription and not take a double dosage.

Alimta Chemotherapy

The incorporation of chemotherapy into the treatment of advanced non small cell lung cancer has become more frequent during the last decade. The primary reason for this has been the demonstration of efficacy of chemotherapeutics in prolonging survival and improvement in quality of life of patients treated with chemotherapy versus other treatment options. In some cases chemotherapy is unnecessary and useless. Alimta for chemotherapy is used for treatment of non small cell lung cancer which is available with most Canadian pharmacy. The drug is a popular brand of a chemotherapy drug call Pemetrexed.

As we know, treatment with drugs to kill cancer cells is called chemotherapy. Most anti cancer drugs are injected into the vein or muscle and some are consumed orally. Chemotherapy is a systemic treatment which makes the drug flow through the bloodstream to nearly every part of the body. Chemotherapy is generally given in cycles which mean it is a treatment period followed by recovery period followed by another treatment period and so on. Chemotherapy is usually given to patient as an outpatient at the hospital, at the doctor’s clinic or at home.

Alimta is a drug which comes as an injection and is only available on prescription and could be bought in most of the Canadian pharmacies. Alimta is usually given with Cisplatin which helps kill the cancer affected cells in the body and reduce the risk of more damage to the body due to cancer cells. The drug comes in different dosages depending of the damage the cancer cells have done to the body. Any type of chemotherapy will have certain side effects and the same happens in case of Almita chemotherapy. Certain precautions should be taken in order to minimize these reactions and ensure on gets the best possible treatments. Sometimes chemotherapy can reduce blood count and if this happens one may suffer from anemia or immunity of the body might decrease. Hair loss is also one of the common side effects of chemotherapy. Alimta could also cause some skin rashes or other similar problems; however this can be reduced by taking corticosteroid after consulting to the doctor. This chemotherapy drug could also interact with other medicines and hence one needs to tell their doctors as they may have to discontinue them to avoid any dire side effects.

Most side effects of chemotherapy with Alimta can be reduced by taking Vitamin B12 which helps increase of foliates.

Alimta

Alimta is a prescription chemotherapy medication which is used to treat malignant pleural mesothelioma – a cancer that affects the inner lining of the chest cavity and non squamous lung cancer. Alimta is not indicated for patients who have a different type of non-small cell lung cancer. This drug is available in most of the Canadian pharmacies. Alimta belongs to a group of drugs known as folate antimetabolites. It works by preventing the conversion of folic acid into its active form. Alimta is selective for cancer cells, which means that it is more likely to target the cancer cells instead of healthy cells.

Alimta may be given along with another anticancer drug Cisplatin which is again available with most Canadian pharmacies depending on whether the patient has had previous treatment for lung cancer and if it is the initial treatment with Alimta.
The Canadian drugs come as an injection and is slowly infused in to the vein. Each infusion takes about ten minutes and one may receive one infusion every 21 days. Then, 30 minutes after receiving Alimta, the patient will receive Cisplatin. It total it takes about 2 hours to complete the infusion and after these infusions the patient will not receive any more chemotherapy during the 21 day cycle. As a part of the treatment, one may receive additional medications including Vitamin B12, folic acid and corticosteroids. The dosage of the drug the doctor recommends will vary depending on various factors which include body surface and how well a patient responds to the medication especially if they develop any side effects. The Canadian drug just like any medicine can cause side effects if not consumed with care. As with most chemotherapy medications the side effects of this medication can be significant. Some of the most common side effects of Alimta are fatigue, nausea and loss of appetite.

As it is a prescription chemotherapy drug, hair loss is one of the possible side effects it may cause. Reports have shown that up to 7% of people who took Alimta alone have suffered hair loss. Hair loss is seen because chemotherapy affects all fast growing cells through the whole body. It can also suppress bone marrow function which may cause low blood cell counts and may not be appropriate for some patients. If one is allergic to Alimta it is important that they notify their doctors as it can prove dangerous.
